
700 New iPass Locations Worldwide
The March Network Update relfects increasing broadband coverage, including a symbolic café chain in Columbia and 13 new airport additions worldwide.
In March 2009, iPass added more than 700 new Wi-Fi and wired broadband venues to its expanding global footprint in countries such as Brazil, China, Germany, Mexico, South Africa and more. In Columbia alone, nearly 70 hotspots were added including coverage at airports in Bogota, Cali and Cartagena and in numerous Juan Valdez cafés throughout the country.
The current total iPass worldwide broadband network size stands at nearly 110,000 venues in 93 countries.
Airport Coverage
There are now a total of 493 airports available to iPass users worldwide. Just this month, 13 new airports were added to the footprint in the following countries:
• Chile
• China
• Colombia
• Finland
• Japan
• UK
• US
